BMW and Daimler drop design for Apple Car

There are rumors that Apple is developing an electric or semi-autonomous car, in partnership with some car manufacturers. Now, BMW and Daimler have abandoned the project.

Apple met some car manufacturers to develop their own car, in what is known as Project Titan.

So far, this project did not pass rumors, no official confirmation. The German publication Handelsblatt news now that BMW and Daimler already abandoned the initiative.



The car brands want more control over the project and protect user data. Apple, meanwhile, want the car to be built with the software in the cloud that already has and car manufacturers give priority to customer data protection.

It is known that Magna remains involved in the project and it is estimated that Apple is working from a secret laboratory in Berlin, with a team of 15 to 20 engineers, recruited companies in the automotive sector.
